Wedding services
How do I secure my wedding date and venue?
Your initial visit will be conducted with our wedding specialist, who will take note of your preferred venue and check availability, space, and other locations. Upon selection of your wedding date, a Catering Agreement will be prepared and your date will be confirmed upon receipt of your deposit. Please note that in the case of civil weddings, the hotel must also receive confirmation about the date and the time of the wedding from the Municipality of Paphos.
What complimentary services are offered to the bride and groom when booking their wedding and accommodation at Elysium?
Upon arrival:
Fruit basket and a bottle of sparkling wine.
Petit fours upgrade of the wedding couple’s room (subject to availability). This applies only for the Deluxe Bedrooms.
Decoration of bedroom on wedding night including flower petals in the bath and aromatic essence oils in room.
A voucher worth €30.00 per person for the bride and the groom for the Opium Health Spa.
Champagne in-room Breakfast on the morning after the wedding.
Commemorative gift
One candlelit dinner with a bottle of house wine for any time during the couple’s stay.
Can the Elysium arrange for a minister who can conduct the ceremony and issue a license for the wedding?
Elysium is convenient located near the Local Municipality, and the Hotel Wedding Specialist is on hand to arrange all your appointments with the Municipality and liaise directly with the local authorities on your behalf.
Can Elysium recommend a good photographer, florist, or entertainment team?
Elysium is proud to offer the services of an In-House Florist, In-House photographer and various entertainment options who will turn all your dreams and ideas into reality.
All the vendors used by Elysium are highly skilled and experienced in their particular fields and hold a high reputation to match the hotel's level of standards.
All the vendors with whom the hotel collaborates hold valid business licenses and follow all legal restrictions applied by the government.
If guests prefer to make arrangements with other outside vendors, the hotel has full authority to screen and choose the vendors in order to make sure that they live up to the hotel's standards.

What are the average Food & Beverage prices?
On average you may expect to spend approximately €140-€170 per person for dinner inclusive of current taxable service charge & current sales tax. These averages would encompass hors d’oeuvres during your welcome cocktail reception, a plated or buffet meal, wedding cake, wine service with meal, toast for the speeches and an open hosted bar service based on a moderate drinking group. Please be aware that our menu items and pricing are subject to change and your final expenditure will depend on your final guest attendance, menu selections and food & beverage financial commitment.
When do I need to finalize my menu?
Food and beverage selections must be finalized and confirmed with your Elysium Wedding Specialist 4 weeks prior to the date of your wedding. Your final guest count or guarantee is due three business days prior to the wedding or one week with choice entrée selections. This will be considered a guarantee, for which you will be charged even if fewer guests attend the event.
Do you provide food tasting?
Elysium offers a sample menu tasting for wedding couples or their nearest relatives. Any additional guests will be charged at €55 per person. Tastings are offered only when the menu has been selected by the couple and includes only the dishes within that particular menu. Please note that the hotel does not provide the tasting of all food and beverage items listed in our banqueting menus.
Can I only have my ceremony at the Elysium?
Elysium offers a number of indoor and outdoor venues for wedding ceremonies to take place on its premises. Please see our Venues for detailed information.
What deposit do you require?
Elysium requires a deposit of €650.00 in order to secure the date and the venues for your event. Please note that deposits are non-refundable and non-date transferable. Elysium requires full pre-payment for all events.
What is the responsibility of Elysium’s Wedding Specialist?
- Make all necessary arrangements to obtain license from the local municipality.
- Arrange a minister to conduct the wedding ceremony.
- Make arrangements with special events professionals including In-house florist, In-house photographer, Spa requirements, hair and make-up trials, entertainment etc.
- Act as Food and Beverage menu advisor, including the wedding cake.
- Create the wedding itinerary, detailing banquet event orders and outlining your entire event.
- Create a floor plan of your function space in order for you to provide seating arrangements.
- Oversee the details of the bride and groom's room reservations.
- Co-ordinate your wedding day in Cyprus to include ceremony and room(s) set-ups, food preparations and other necessary operations.
- Ensure a smooth transition to the hotel's Banquet Captain once the Grand Entrance has occurred.
- Review all the banquet checks for accuracy, prior to the completion and pricing of the final bill.

Can outside food and beverages be brought in?
Elysium must provide all food & beverage items for your events. The sales and service of beverages is regulated by the Paphos liquor commission, and Elysium is responsible for administration of thus regulations. It is our policy that all beverages are to be provided by the hotel including the wines and the champagnes.
Does Elysium provide wedding cakes?
We understand that the wedding cake is very special and unique to every couple, and our talented pastry chefs are on hand to create the ideal masterpiece for your perfect Cyprus wedding. We offer a wide range of choices with varying tastes, colors, and décor. We are also able to accommodate specific requests when communicated in advance. Please note that Elysium does not allow for cakes to be brought in from outside the property due to strict health and safety issues. Elysium follows the HACCP code of conduct and will not take the risk of using an outside vendor for food products.
How late can alcohol be served?
Alcohol can be served until 01:30hrs.
Does Elysium provide children’s meals?
Elysium fully understands the needs of our younger guests on your special day and our chef has designed special children menu’s to meet your needs and requirements for the day. The children menus range from €25 and up.
